Compensation: $120,000–$125,000 base salary

The Controls Engineer will play a key role in supporting and improving automated manufacturing systems. This position is approximately 70% project-based work (new equipment, upgrades, and improvements) and 30% production support, requiring strong troubleshooting and on-call responsiveness. The ideal candidate has deep PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen-Bradley, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Design, program, and modify PLC control systems
Lead and support automation projects including new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements
Provide production support by troubleshooting controls, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime
Develop and maintain HMIs and interface with operators and maintenance teams
Support integration of robotic systems and automated equipment (robotics experience is a plus)
Participate in system testing, commissioning, and validation
Maintain accurate documentation including electrical schematics, PLC programs, and project records
Support on-call rotation for urgent production or system issues as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field
Strong hands-on PLC programming experience
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial automation systems
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support live production environments
Robotics programming or integration experience
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks
Experience working on capital or continuous improvement projects
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices
