Industrial Reliability Maintenance Specialist

Step into a pivotal role that keeps our plant running smoothly and safely. From the moment your shift begins, you’ll move between production lines and utility areas, ensuring equipment is healthy, performance is optimized, and downtime is minimized. You’ll blend hands-on troubleshooting with preventive routines, while modeling servant leadership, lean thinking, and no‑nonsense, fact-based communication.

Day in the life

  • Start with safety and status checks; verify that production equipment is ready, supplies are staged, and risk controls are in place.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance; diagnose and repair issues across mechanical, electrical, and basic electronic systems.
  • Operate processing machinery when needed to stabilize output and reduce downtime.
  • Use blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide accurate repairs.
  • Support water/ice plant operations, including ice makers, compressors, heat exchangers, ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, pumps, and condensers.
  • Inspect product quality—check ice clarity, cube dimensions, and hole spacing.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping to drive continuous improvement.
  • Apply root cause analysis; implement and verify countermeasures with basic data analysis.
  • Handle minor facility upkeep (painting, light bulbs, small structural fixes).
  • Order parts, manage spares, and maintain inventory for safe, optimal plant performance.
  • Coach teammates on proper tool and equipment use for general facility maintenance.
  • Jump in to assist with bagging as needed and, at times, help direct workflow based on equipment output.
  • Complete required Safety/Risk Management checklists and actively identify, monitor, and correct health and safety issues.
  • Uphold our Code of Business Ethics and champion the principle that safety is personal.

How you’ll lead with lean

Bring our “True North” to life—voice of the customer, respect for the individual, fact-based, no‑nonsense communication, servant leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset.
