Role snapshot
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes for high-precision aerospace manufacturing.
- Machine aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys to strict GD&T requirements.
- Follow process sheets and engineering documentation to deliver parts to spec, on time.
- Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM.
- Maintain compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality protocols.
- Monitor tool wear and machine performance to maximize efficiency and part quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace machine shop.
- Hands-on G-code editing and full machine setup capability.
- Advanced blueprint reading with strong GD&T knowledge.
- Documented success holding ±0.0005" or tighter tolerances.
- Working familiarity with AS9100 systems.
- Self-directed team player with strong communication.
Nice-to-haves
- 4-axis and 5-axis machining exposure.
- Programming experience with Mastercam or comparable CAM.
- CMM operation experience.
