Aegis is partnered with a long-standing OEM manufacturer of highly engineered packaging automation equipment that serves the food and beverage industry. This organization designs and builds niche packaging machinery in-house and is continuing to invest heavily in engineering, product development, and customer support as demand continues to grow.
They are seeking an Install Service Technician to support customer site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on automated packaging systems. This is a true road-warrior role with 80–90% travel after a structured 120-day onsite training period.
Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite installation, startup, repair, and preventative maintenance of automated packaging machinery
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software issues
- Read electrical schematics and use volt meters in low and high voltage environments
- Provide operator training and best practices to customer teams
- Support customers remotely by phone and system connection when needed
- Document dispatches, repairs, and open technical issues
- Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally onsite
Requirements:
- 2–5+ years OEM technician, field service, packaging equipment, military, or similar automation experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (24V–480V)
- Ability to read schematics, relays, and circuit breakers
- Mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Customer-facing communication skills
- Comfortable with 80–90% travel
