Step into a week where your expertise guides how products are built and verified. On Monday, you draft an AS9100 audit plan aligned to our internal procedures. Midweek, you’re on the floor evaluating processes for appearance, composition, and functionality. By Friday, you’re presenting clear, data-backed findings to senior leadership and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement AS9100 audit plans for products and processes based on current internal procedures.
  • Execute audits to verify compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Define product conformity criteria grounded in drawings, customer specs, and applicable regulations.
  • Evaluate production practices and outcomes for quality in appearance, composition, and function.
  • Assign and oversee team members conducting quality audits.
  • Train employees on established quality standards and procedures.
  • Create a QMS-level training course in our system, including a knowledge-verification quiz to confirm understanding.
  • Ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Record findings, support effective corrective actions, and verify their implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver quality audit reports to senior management.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and standards.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, quality management, or a related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years as a quality auditor in AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and/or ISO 14001 within a related industry.
  • Successful completion of AS9100 auditor training from an AS9100 regulatory body.
  • Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Post-secondary coursework related to the Aerospace Industry preferred.
  • ASQ certification is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards; exceptional attention to detail; strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

  • Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Other Abilities: Read and interpret detailed blueprints, shop travelers, and engineering sketches.
