One of our manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team Dayton, OH.
**Pay Rate: **$25/hr - $35/hr
**Shift: **2nd shift
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and production equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
Maintain and repair equipment such as:
Packaging machines
Cartoners
Case packers
Conveyors
Labeling machines
Wrappers
Filling and sealing equipment
Palletizers
Extrusion and thermoforming equipment
Pumps, motors, gearboxes, and compressors
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automated production systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Perform electrical troubleshooting involving motors, sensors, relays, VFDs, control panels, and PLCs.
Repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, regulators, and pumps.
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and document all maintenance activities.
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements to increase reliability.
Assist with equipment installation, setup, modification, and commissioning.
Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate parts requirements to the maintenance supervisor.
Follow OSHA, company safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and other applicable regulations.
Work closely with production operators, engineers, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues.
Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS or computerized maintenance systems.
High school diploma or GED; technical school or industrial maintenance training preferred.
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in packaging, plastics, food, consumer goods, or manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, VFDs, controls, and automated machinery.
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and mechanical measuring instruments.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
