Overview
The Production Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating raw material receiving, inventory management, customer shipment scheduling, and logistics operations to support efficient production and on-time delivery performance. This role works closely with production, operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to align customer demand with manufacturing schedules and inventory availability.
Key responsibilities include managing customer shipment schedules, monitoring inventory levels, tracking material movement, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Production Control Specialist analyzes inventory and production data, identifies discrepancies, and communicates changes to appropriate internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure operational continuity and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production goals and objectives.
- Implement best practices in production control and supply chain management.
- Assist in the development of forecasts and demand planning strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in production control or supply chain roles is a plus.
