Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end operations for the Sheet Metal department, from work order creation through final delivery
- Oversee a cross-functional team in a matrixed manufacturing environment at the San Jose site
- Drive performance across production, quality, engineering, maintenance, scheduling, and programming
- Implement and sustain an Operational Excellence (OpEx) framework focused on lean, quality, and efficiency
- Manage workflow and material movement using WIP tracking, dispatch systems, and tier management
- Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Use data and value stream metrics to improve throughput and eliminate bottlenecks
- Own capacity planning, including labor, equipment, CapEx, and staffing needs
- Lead resolution of non-conformances and ensure quality standards are met
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce costs
- Support automation and process improvements to optimize operations
- Partner with customers to support performance, responsiveness, and on-time delivery
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and 125+ employees, fostering accountability and collaboration
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations (mid-to-large environments)
- Sheet metal experience preferred (5+ years)
- Proven experience driving OpEx or continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Authorized to work in the United States
