NDT Mechanical Inspection Specialist (ASME/NQA-1)

Join Westinghouse in Waterford, CT and put your NDT expertise to work ensuring nuclear-grade quality on an on-site contract assignment reporting to the Site Manager.

What you’ll do

• Perform visual and non-destructive testing on parts, piping, welds, and heavy machinery.
• Validate conformance to design drawings, technical specs, and nuclear standards (ASME, NQA-1).
• Review material test reports (MTRs), calibration logs, and inspection packages before installation.
• Log nonconformances, stop defective work, and drive corrective actions to completion.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in mechanical inspection or a closely related field.
• Comfort using precision instruments—calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Level II or III certification in non-destructive examination.
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and NRC regulations.
