Salary Range: $20.00 – $21.00/hour

About the Opportunity

A fastener manufacturer in Plymouth, MI is seeking two Vision Sort/Packer Operators to join its production team, with one opening on 1st shift and one on 3rd shift.

This is a more technical production role focused on operating camera-based vision sorting equipment used to inspect and sort manufactured parts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up automated equipment, making camera adjustments, loading programs, monitoring part quality, and keeping production running accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate automatic vision sorting and inspection machines
• Load and select machine programs based on production requirements
• Make camera and equipment adjustments to ensure accurate part inspection and sorting
• Load parts into sorting equipment and monitor machines throughout production runs
• Inspect parts for quality and verify dimensions using gauges, calipers, micrometers, or similar inspection tools as needed
• Monitor sorted parts and identify potential defects or quality concerns
• Complete required production sheets and maintain accurate production records
• Handle scrap and nonconforming material according to established procedures
• Pack completed parts for the next stage of production or shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

What You Bring

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, sorting, inspection, or similar production experience preferred
• Comfortable setting up and operating automated equipment
• Ability to work with camera-based inspection systems, including making adjustments and loading programs
• Basic understanding of quality inspection and dimensional measurement
• Experience with gauges, calipers, or micrometers is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize part defects or process issues
• Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures
• Dependable and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
