Teknor Apex partners with customers worldwide to create better products through customized compound solutions. Since 1924, when Alfred Fain opened a small Rhode Island tire store, we’ve expanded to nine U.S. sites and operations in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. We remain privately held and family-led, nurturing relationships that power innovation and reliability on the plant floor.

Your development journey
- Structured 18-month apprenticeship focused on reliability and maintenance fundamentals
- Hands-on training to maintain production and facilities equipment to design efficiency and throughput
- Safety-first mindset: keep the shop, tools, and machinery safe and compliant
- Care for and secure tools and test equipment; keep everything in working order
- Flexible coverage: be available for overtime and on-call needs
Schedule
Training: Primarily day shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) for the first 18 months
Post-training: Placement may be on second or third shift
What you bring
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Two years of manufacturing experience or a skilled trade background
- Computer literacy
- Must be 18 years of age to work at Teknor Apex.
Pay and benefits
Hourly rate: $20.00–$33.00, depending on experience
