Plant Building Systems Technician (Manufacturing Operations)

Ready to be the go-to problem solver for a busy plant?

You’ll work on-site in Richmond, IL, reporting to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager as part of our Manufacturing & Operations team. If you like staying hands-on, leading safety by example, and learning new techniques through ongoing training, this role is for you.

What you will do

• Own the preventive maintenance schedule—always aligned to company, local, state, and federal safety standards.
• Handle routine facility upkeep and minor alteration projects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems and building automation equipment.

What you have

• Preferably 5+ years in general building repair.
• Your own tool set, plus strong diagnostic skills.
• Practical electrical and mechanical know-how; you can read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Comfort with computers and solid math fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; available for weekends and overtime when needed.

Physical and environmental expectations

• Capable of exerting 50–100 lbs. occasionally, 25–50 lbs. frequently, and 10–20 lbs. constantly.
• Standing/walking may comprise up to 90% of your workday.
