Shift: Second shift
About EMP, an Inovar Packaging Group, LLC Company
EMP is part of Inovar Packaging Group, one of North America’s premier flexographic and digital printing organizations. We invest in advanced equipment and technology and operate with a customer-driven, team-first culture built on win-win partnerships.
A day in this role
You arrive for second shift and review the job ticket for a run of prime labels. You set up a servo-driven narrow web flexographic digital hybrid press, load the chosen substrate, mount plates, install tooling, and set print impression. As the press comes up to speed, you fine-tune ink distribution, adjust web speed, and dial in temperature in the drying chamber to hit color and quality targets. Throughout the job, you monitor substrate, ink, and tooling to ensure they meet specifications, quickly troubleshoot any print issue to minimize waste, and keep the schedule on track. Before handing off, you perform routine maintenance such as oiling, cleaning, and minor repairs so the next job starts smoothly.
