Dimensional QA Inspector — Machined Components

Are you the go-to person for GD&T and precise measurements?

If you’re fluent with micrometers, dial indicators, and CMMs—and you know how to turn findings into action—we want to hear from you. As our Dimensional QA Inspector, you’ll keep custom machined parts on-spec from in-process checks to final release, using advanced inspection methods to shape and run quality programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect custom machined parts during in-process and final stages against print specs and quality standards.
  • Check random samples and verify the accuracy of equipment and processes.
  • Escalate any condition needing immediate repair to protect product quality.
  • Create and maintain inspection reports for all product lines, plus customer-specific reports as required.
  • Work with manufacturing teams and outside vendors; move conforming parts to the next process without delay.
  • Maintain and analyze a non-conformance database to identify and act on trends.
  • Lead calibration activities for all metrology tools/devices and keep complete records.
  • Evaluate damaged metrology tools with manufacturers to determine repair vs. replacement.
  • Notify the Production Manager and Engineering Manager when defects are discovered.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis with cross-functional partners and drive solutions.
  • Recommend new inspection equipment when it adds value.
  • Use advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct effective quality programs.

Tools You’ll Use

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Micrometers, calipers, dial indicators
  • Thread/pitch/radius gages; measurement gauges
  • Profilometer, Micro-Hite
  • Computer (Office 365 Excel)
  • Forklift and bridge crane

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Minimum 3 years inspecting machined parts (required)
  • Proficiency with all standard measuring equipment
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Solid computer skills, including Excel
  • Capability to operate a forklift and bridge crane
