HVAC Diagnostics and Repair Technician — Residential Systems

What You’ll Tackle

  • Own the customer experience—arrive prepared, diagnose efficiently, and explain solutions clearly.
  • Service a full range of residential equipment: forced-air furnaces and AC, steam and hot water systems, oil-fired units, high-velocity air systems, and ductless mini-splits.
  • Apply advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot airflow, fuel delivery, refrigerant charge, and electrical faults.
  • Keep meticulous records of work performed; manage truck stock to support flat-rate repairs.
  • Guide homeowners on comfort, efficiency, and safety improvements.
  • Support the growth of junior technicians through on-the-job coaching.
  • Follow service department procedures and complete all administrative tasks accurately.

What It Takes

  • 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience; solid grasp of best practices and applicable building codes.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
  • Commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Calm under pressure; collaborative and consistently dependable.

Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Work in outdoor conditions across hot and cold environments.
  • Hear and speak effectively to share information with customers and teammates.
