CDL A Dedicated Truck Driver - Taking New CDL Graduates

Beast Mode Truckin seeks Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated account operating 53' refrigerated (refer) trailers. This opportunity offers predictable daily home time, modern automatic equipment, primarily no-touch freight, and a structured mentor program for recent graduates.

  • Compensation & benefits
    • $1,500–$1,700 per week
    • Pay per mile: $0.69–$0.81
    • Trainee pay: $680 per week (drivers with under 6 months’ OTR/Regional experience)
    • Stop pay: $10 for first stop; $15 for each additional stop
    • Short-haul pay: $25 for loads under 50 miles
    • Full benefits after 30 days, including medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off
  • Job details
    • Equipment: 53' refrigerated trailers; modern automatic tractors; slip-seat operation
    • Freight: 100% primarily no-touch freight with a mix of drop-and-hook and occasional live store load/unloads
    • Account: Solid dedicated Eastern regional account with predictable daily home time
    • Training: Mentor/ride-along program for approximately 4–6 weeks for trainees prior to solo assignments
    • Schedule: 7-day operation; drivers must be available for day or night driving; typical 5–6 day work week (weekends not guaranteed)
    • Mileage: Average approximately 1,700–1,800 miles per week
    • Home base: Candidates must reside within 65 miles of Johnstown, NY; drivers based in the Buffalo, Boston, or New York City areas will not be considered for this account
  • Minimum requirements
    • Valid Class A CDL and minimum age 21
    • Graduate of an accredited truck driving school (minimum 120 hours)
    • Fair driving record: no major accidents, major violations, or suspensions within the past 5 years
    • No DUI convictions within the past 5 years
    • Not terminated from most recent employment for safety-related reasons
    • Stable work history: generally stable 10-year employment history; at minimum six months of work in the last year or one year of work in the last three years
    • Ability to pass pre-employment urine and hair drug screens
    • Criminal offenses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis; certain convictions may disqualify
