The role at a glance
- Lead and direct field crews and supervisors to hit daily/weekly production targets safely.
- Champion safety: enforce protocols and compile weekly safety reports.
- Equip forepersons with the right tools, materials, and information to build it right the first time.
- Drive subcontractor performance and keep budget and schedule on track.
- Read the work: interpret specs, drawings, and survey data to plan and sequence operations.
- Measure what matters: track productivity and job costs; review cost reports and adjust.
- Guard quality: implement QA/QC and verify test results.
- Control documents: oversee submittals, material logs, and required paperwork.
- Problem‑solve on the fly when site conditions change.
- Balance manpower and coordinate with owners, engineers, and inspectors.
What you bring
- 5+ years of heavy civil experience with superintendent‑level responsibility.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA requirements, best practices, construction equipment, and QA/QC procedures.
- Proven ability to manage fast‑moving schedules and changing priorities.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable leading teams and coordinating field operations.
- Local travel: Southeastern PA & NJ.
- OSHA 10‑Hour or 30‑Hour certification required.
