The role at a glance

  • Lead and direct field crews and supervisors to hit daily/weekly production targets safely.
  • Champion safety: enforce protocols and compile weekly safety reports.
  • Equip forepersons with the right tools, materials, and information to build it right the first time.
  • Drive subcontractor performance and keep budget and schedule on track.
  • Read the work: interpret specs, drawings, and survey data to plan and sequence operations.
  • Measure what matters: track productivity and job costs; review cost reports and adjust.
  • Guard quality: implement QA/QC and verify test results.
  • Control documents: oversee submittals, material logs, and required paperwork.
  • Problem‑solve on the fly when site conditions change.
  • Balance manpower and coordinate with owners, engineers, and inspectors.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of heavy civil experience with superintendent‑level responsibility.
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA requirements, best practices, construction equipment, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage fast‑moving schedules and changing priorities.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable leading teams and coordinating field operations.
  • Local travel: Southeastern PA & NJ.
  • OSHA 10‑Hour or 30‑Hour certification required.
