Mechanical Rigging & Installation Millwright

Ready to rebuild American industry—one installation at a time?

Imagine stepping into a plant where a new production line is waiting. You study the drawings, set your layout, guide the crane pick, then bring the system into perfect alignment. That’s a day on our team at Re:Build Optimation Technology, LLC in Rochester, NY. We design and build custom industrial skids and bespoke machines, power them with automation, and deliver them to customers across diverse industries. As part of Re:Build Manufacturing, we combine technology and operational excellence to create long-term opportunities for our employees and the communities we serve.

What success looks like

  • Every install is accurate: machinery is positioned, fastened, and aligned to spec using micrometers, squares, optical tools, plumb bobs, and rules.
  • Moves are controlled: you rig, lift, roll, and set equipment with hoists, dollies, lifts, rollers, and cranes—safely and efficiently.
  • Builds are complete: you bolt, weld, and rivet to foundations and structures, machining parts on lathes and mills when needed.
  • Systems are reliable: you assist with mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Sites are safe: you identify hazards and follow OSHA and company safety practices—every time.

Is this you?

  • A craftsperson who enjoys solving mechanical challenges and takes pride in the details.
  • Comfortable working independently and alongside engineers, machinists, fabricators, and project teams.
  • Physically able to climb, lift heavy objects, work at heights, and enter confined spaces; able to work in hot, cold, and outdoor conditions.
  • Can read/write English, interpret mechanical drawings, and use basic computer/communication tools.
  • Available for a 40-hour day schedule with flexibility for overtime as required.
  • Experience as a millwright/mechanic/industrial installer helps; senior roles (L4–L5) require proven mastery.

Grow your impact

From L1 to L5, you’ll gain responsibility through training and hands-on learning. You’ll see a wide range of projects—mills, plants, shops, fabrications, and field installations—so your skills never stand still.
