Build the next generation of composite products with us in Rock Hill, SC

At Re:Build CR, LLC (Composite Resources)—a Re:Build Manufacturing company—you’ll join a fast-growing team crafting advanced composite components and tooling for aerospace, defense, and other complex markets. Our culture is grounded in teamwork, ownership, and accountability, and our broader Re:Build network blends engineering excellence, operations know-how, and enabling technologies to transform U.S. manufacturing.

A day in this role

You start your morning on the production floor, checking on a newly integrated layup process you piloted last week. A technician flags a yield concern—within minutes you’re diagnosing root causes, reviewing work instructions you authored, and updating parameters. By mid-morning you’re on a call as the primary technical contact for a key customer, aligning on manufacturability and certification needs. After lunch, you collaborate with Project Management, Quality, and Project Engineers to transition a prototype into serial production, balancing cost, quality, delivery, and safety. Before the day ends, you document the refined process in SolidWorks PDM and close the loop on a scrap-reduction countermeasure you championed.

What you’ll own

  • Lead continuous improvement across composite production to elevate safety, quality, cost, manufacturability, delivery, and customer value.
  • Serve as the go-to technical expert and main process contact for select customer programs.
  • Maintain required special process certifications and ensure our facility is appropriately represented.
  • Act as technical liaison among Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to resolve daily operational issues.
  • Transition new products into serial production with rigorous cost control and robust quality.
  • Create clear, accurate process documentation and work instructions.
  • Support Composite Technicians with on-the-spot problem solving to reduce/prevent scrap and increase throughput.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of engineering experience, with a strong passion for composite manufacturing processes.
  • Fluency in reading, interpreting, and creating technical drawings and schematics, including GD&T and proper tolerancing.
  • Expert user of SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across operators and teams; self-motivated with excellent workload management.
  • Applied knowledge of continuous improvement philosophies, methodologies, and tools.

Tools and proficiencies

  • Proficient in: CAD Software; Mechanical Design & Engineering; CAD/CAM Software
  • Machines/technologies: CAD Software (SolidWorks)
