Master Fabrication & Weld Mentor, Coil Department

Lead. Elevate. Innovate.

Join us to guide a high-performing coil welding and testing operation where integrity, responsibility, courage, and innovation are more than words—they’re daily habits. You’ll steward safety, quality, and learning while restoring coil integrity at the test tank and building a stronger team around you.

Your mission

  • Locate and repair coil leaks—tube-to-tube and header repairs—and route finished work to the next stage.
  • Own visibility of performance: publish leak rates, maintain the coil quality traveler, and keep the proficiency log with actions and insights.
  • Mentor mechanics; facilitate continuous improvement and translate ideas into tangible upgrades to methods, systems, or services.
  • Plan the day: review the schedule, align resources, and remove obstacles.
  • Verify accuracy of the Quality metric report; collaborate with the Station Lead and Team Lead to correct discrepancies.
  • Keep discipline tight: complete ISO documents daily; uphold 5S.
  • Communicate across functions—Team Leads, Inspectors, Supply Chain—to maintain flow.
  • Advance training in safety, ISO/quality procedures, production targets, and equipment cross-training.
  • Promote LEAN principles; drive safety improvements, including near-miss reporting and results against safety metrics.
  • Champion sustainability: cut waste, recycle more, and reduce energy and water consumption.
  • Contribute wherever needed—take on other tasks as assigned by plant leadership.
