Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist

A day in this role

You arrive to a bustling production floor where uptime matters. A conveyor is hesitating at startup, a VFD is flagging a fault, and a PM is due on a critical pump. You move from diagnosis to repair with purpose—reading prints, tracing circuits, swapping bearings, and documenting every step in the CMMS—so the lines stay safe, efficient, and on schedule.

What you'll do

  • Pinpoint and resolve faults on industrial production assets to reduce downtime.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans that keep equipment in top condition.
  • Diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, valves, and related components.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to guide work.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-driven machinery (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.); programming knowledge is a plus, not required.
  • Install and wire motors, sensors, VFDs, relays, contactors, and other control components.
  • Perform welding and light fabrication when needed to restore equipment.
  • Complete accurate work orders and parts usage in a CMMS.
  • Assist with new equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow all safety procedures—especially Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)—every time.
  • Partner with production and engineering to elevate equipment reliability and performance.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with AC/DC motors; hydraulics; pneumatics; conveyors; gearboxes; bearings; chains & sprockets; and pumps.
  • Ability to read and apply electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Background troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Comfort with VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and motor control circuits.
  • Welding/fabrication exposure is beneficial.
  • CMMS familiarity preferred.
  • Self-directed, yet highly collaborative with cross-functional teams.

Preferred extras

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in food, beverage, packaging, automotive, metals, plastics, or similar manufacturing industries.
  • PLC troubleshooting exposure with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.
  • Experience with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment.
