Production Floor Lead, Manufacturing
Ready to guide a high-performing crew on 2nd or 3rd shift? This role blends coaching, coordination, and quality control to help our team hit safety, delivery, and productivity goals. You’ll partner with the department supervisor—and cover for them when needed—to direct daily work, accelerate orders through the line, and keep scrap and rework to a minimum.

Your impact
- Lead safe work practices; follow plant safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Run pre-shift meetings; assign daily tasks—especially when the supervisor is off-shift.
- Execute and expedite scheduled work orders to meet customer demand.
- Troubleshoot daily hurdles to achieve production, quality, shipping, and safety goals.
- Train new hires; complete all required training documentation.
- Support Lean Transformation and safety initiatives; suggest and implement improvements.
- Serve as First Responder during plant emergencies.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas; complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Assist teammates and handle other duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills that set you up for success
- Basic machine repair knowledge.
- Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
- Proficiency with micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, shop gages, depth gages, and dial indicators.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and achieve required finishes to engineering/manufacturing specifications.
- Strong in-process inspection capability.
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to build trust quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; drive issues to closure.
- Comfortable balancing broad planning with detailed execution in a fact-based environment.
- Strong basic math; convert metric and English units fluently.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout and a high commitment to integrity of self, product, and process.
- Customer-focused with urgency; steady, consistent work pace all shift.
- Confident decision-maker committed to team success.
Preferred background
- 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- First Aid/CPR and Emergency Response training.
