General Ledger and Consolidations Accountant

Step Into the Core of Our Ledger

Picture your day starting with a quick scan of overnight entries in QuickBooks, a review of consolidations in our customized accounting system, and a touchpoint with the reporting team on month-end deadlines. You report to the Accounting Manager, supporting every program we run—internal and external—and your blend of governmental and corporate accounting expertise keeps our financial story accurate, timely, and complete.

From payroll postings to AR reconciliations for governmental clients, you create, analyze, reconcile, and maintain the numbers that drive decisions. Your work has a direct impact on corporate financial reporting and on how leadership sees performance across the organization.

What You’ll Take On

  • Lead continual process improvements and special projects that elevate how we report financial results.
  • Analyze program plans and forecast for profitability, cost effectiveness, and resource needs.
  • Own monthly and consolidated financial statements, navigating a tight month-end close timeline.
  • Safeguard general ledger integrity through monthly account analyses, reconciliations, and corrections.
  • Deliver analytical reviews for the Director of Finance and Owner Partners.
  • Support smooth accounting integrations tied to acquisition initiatives.
  • Partner closely with reporting, budgeting, and forecasting teams; adjust as objectives evolve.
  • Stay current on accounting standards; collaborate with our CPA on GAAP research as needed.
  • Review and reconcile accounts receivable for governmental clients.

How You’ll Work

Under general direction, you’ll handle complex technical and support activities: financial data entry in QuickBooks Ledger, contributions in customized accounting software, payroll processing touchpoints, and reporting deliverables—always with a focus on precision and clarity.

Background We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; or 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience collaborating with Executive and Senior Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership to motivate diverse teams.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Where and When You’ll Work

  • Typical office hours run between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Occasional evening or weekend duties may be required for key deadlines or events.
  • Minimal travel.
