ADAS Field Test Operator – Highway Programs

Your Impact
- Operate test vehicles on designated highway routes with a co-driver to evaluate system performance under varied conditions.
- Continuously monitor vehicle behavior and system responses; uphold all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Set up, initiate, and supervise logging equipment; accurately tag and annotate edge cases; manage data collection disks.
- Execute well-defined test plans to probe capabilities and limitations.
- Diagnose and report issues, bugs, and environment-related challenges; partner with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Document procedures, results, observations, and recommendations in detail.
- Collaborate closely with developers and researchers, sharing timely insights to optimize performance.
Where, When, and How
- Location: Newark, CA
- Pay: $23.25/hour
- Contract: 6 months with potential for extension
Shift Model (40 hours/week)
- Early: Mon–Sun, 4:00am–12:00pm (one driver assigned; 2 days off/week)
- Late: Mon–Sun, 4:00pm–12:00am (one driver assigned; 2 days off/week)
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of professional driving experience with extensive highway exposure in the Newark, CA area.
- Completion of an internal operator training program.
- PC literacy with MS Office.
- Ability to maintain vigilance and concentration for two-hour uninterrupted blocks; must hold a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the duration of employment.
- Exceptional driving record, active driver’s license, and mastery of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Background in autonomous or ADAS testing is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting capability.
- High attention to detail for precise data collection and analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-directed yet collaborative; accountable and dependable.
- Comfort with shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as testing demands.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical coursework or certifications are a plus).
