This is not a typical marketing role. We do not prioritise your résumé, years of experience or where you studied. We care about one thing: can you independently solve problems and produce high-quality work?
100Hires is an AI applicant-tracking system rated #1 for startups and small businesses by Forbes. Hiring is the backbone of every organisation. We help businesses build great teams, and through that, we aim to make the world a little better.
This role is based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are seeking a sharp, curious and self-driven individual to join as a Junior Growth Marketing Specialist. You will work directly with the CEO to build and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, using AI tools as an advantage while applying your own judgement.
Key responsibilities:
- Research marketing channels, identify what works locally and internationally, and develop repeatable playbooks.
- Produce high-quality marketing content, including blog articles, comparison pages, landing pages and email sequences.
- Use AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and others daily, applying your own judgement rather than relying on them uncritically.
- Fact-check AI output, verify claims and transform rough drafts into clear, production-ready English.
- Work with data to track performance, scale what works and discontinue what does not.
- Manage your own time and priorities with a high degree of autonomy, maintain high standards and respond to direct feedback from the CEO.
Desired attributes and skills:
- Raw intelligence: you learn quickly and figure things out without detailed instructions.
- Judgement: you can distinguish high-quality work from AI-generated, low-value output.
- Accuracy: you verify claims, identify weak reasoning and prevent factual errors.
- Creativity: you go beyond templates and combine ideas in original ways.
- Self-reliance: when stuck, you research independently (e.g., video tutorials, documentation, AI assistants) rather than waiting for step-by-step direction.
- Nimbleness: you are comfortable learning new tools, working with ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong written English: your written communication must be clear and precise; spoken English does not need to be perfect.
