What a day looks like
Your shift kicks off with a walkthrough of the line, checking logs and reacting to any basic system alarms that popped overnight. You’ll inspect and test machinery, follow preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinate with supervisors on anything that could affect production. When a piece of equipment falters, you’ll safely lock it out, dismantle the problem area, install new or repaired parts, and return it to service.
Between calls, you’ll clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts; install or repair electrical equipment; and design, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You’ll operate with a respirator when required and keep all safety equipment clean and ready. Throughout the shift, you’ll communicate closely with team members to share production updates, plan next steps, and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You’ll also keep the area tidy and compliant with company policies, procedures, and safety rules, support our Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems, champion continual improvement initiatives, and support JSOX compliance. Overtime may be required to meet customer demands. Other duties as assigned.
