Timken Aurora Bearing Company is seeking a skilled Tool Room Tech that will manufacture, repair, maintain, and modify jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, tooling, and precision components to support our production and engineering operations. The ideal candidate will maximize production uptime and continuous improvement by delivering high‑quality precision tooling, performing machine set‑ups, and troubleshooting tooling issues in a shop environment.
Minimum Requirments:
High School Diploma or GED required, associates degree with tooling maching focus preferred.
Two or more years technical or direct tool room experience preferred.
Proficient with manuel milling machines and lathes, hands on experience with CNC set-up and basic programming preferred.
Strong blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerncing (GD&T) skills.
Proficient with precision measuring intruments: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, bore gauges, and bore gauges.
Ability to use tool grinders, surface grinders, and other bench tools.
Ability to stand and walk 8 or more hours per day.
Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred but will train.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
