We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Service Specialist to join our team at the Distribution Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the accuracy of stock levels, and maintaining compliance with expiration dates. This role requires proficiency in inventory management systems, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Organize and optimize warehouse space for efficient storage.
Expiration Date Management:
Regularly review and report on the expiration dates of inventory items.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely use or removal of expired items.
Implement and enforce procedures to minimize the risk of expired inventory.
Requisition Forms and Labels:
Print requisition forms based on demand and inventory levels.
Generate and print labels accurately for inventory items.
Ensure requisition forms and labels meet quality standards.
Shipping:
Prepare and package inventory items for shipping according to established guidelines.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders on the status.
Documentation:
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation related to inventory.
Assist in the development and improvement of inventory-related processes.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal teams to understand inventory needs.
Collaborate with other departments to address inventory-related issues.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in inventory management.
Familiarity with inventory management software/systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical ability to lift and move inventory items as needed.
Working Hours:
Part-Time: 20 hours per week (4 hours/day)
Flexible scheduling may be required based on business needs.
