Reactor Operations Simulator Integration Lead
Assignment: 12 Months | Site: North Anna Nuclear Plant | Location: Mineral, VA
A day in this role
You’ll be the nexus between Digital I&C upgrade teams, I&C and simulator vendors, and operations training. As upgrade phases roll out across the station, you’ll track every technical change, translate its impact to the simulators, and ensure those updates are implemented accurately and on schedule—across three plant simulators over at least five plant upgrade phases.

- ANSI 3.5 Certified Operations Training Simulator
- Operations Training Full Scope Glass Top Plant Simulator
What you’ll do
- Own the documentation of Digital I&C design-change impacts on all training simulators.
- Coordinate with I&C and simulator vendors to incorporate approved changes.
- Participate in project team meetings; partner with each lead engineer to capture simulator impacts accurately.
- Review and validate simulator change packages from I&C and simulator suppliers.
What you bring
- Experience as an NRC-certified Reactor Operator.
- Hands-on leadership managing simulator changes and upgrades; maintaining ANSI/ANS 3.5 compliance for accredited simulators.
- Background as a nuclear plant Simulator Engineer and experience managing Corys simulator environments.
- Working knowledge of PLC and DCS platforms and related control applications—especially the Emerson Ovation system.
- Comfort in nuclear plant environments; ability to read typical nuclear P&ID and Test Loop Diagram (TLD) packages.
- Instrumentation know‑how: temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical systems.
- 3+ years supporting simulator maintenance and upgrades, with shared responsibility for at least one major simulator software/hardware upgrade.
- Degree in Engineering or technical training in simulator networking, human–machine interface, and instrumentation & control.
