Grind Machine Operator-Novi MI.
Contract Position through February 2027
Day Shift- 6 am
Summary
Hands on skill in all areas of finish manual machine precision grinding of various complexity of parts using O.D. wet grinder with normal chuck and magnetic chuck, surface grinder wet/dry and various types of Blanchard grinding. Use various precision checking tools to validate parts are made to print specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean/safe working environment
Positions and secures workpiece on table using, fixtures, clamps, shims, or other holding devices.
Perform grinding operations, following standard operating procedures
Verifies conformance of grinding to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, finish gages, gage blocks and telescoping gauges.
Report on daily production achieved.
Report Non-Conformances.
Participate in continuous improvement processes and activities.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to work independently with written and verbal direction.
Good problem solving skills.
Proficient math skills.
Blueprint reading skills using both imperial and metric system

Overall Experience 4 years grinding experience
Education
H.S. diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training preferred.
