Process Engineer
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Process Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes for precision-machined components. This role will focus on creating efficient methods to produce parts from customer drawings while driving continuous process improvements across machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing processes based on customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
- Improve existing machining processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Apply knowledge of product design, tooling, materials, fabrication, and assembly.
- Work with operators to identify and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors on tooling and manufacturing solutions.
- Select and apply appropriate tooling including cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, inserts, and boring bars.
- Support CAD/CAM programming and machining process development.
- Ensure processes meet quality and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of machining or shop experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong machining and CAD/CAM background (required).
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to use standard inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, inserts, and machining accessories.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.
