Step into the world of precision
Imagine starting your afternoon by loading a complex part onto a CMM, validating a new inspection program you wrote, and watching real-time data confirm tolerances to the micron. By evening, you’ve collaborated with engineering to interpret a tricky GD&T callout, executed a gauge R&R, and flagged a nonconformance that prevents a downstream issue. That’s a typical day as our Dimensional Metrology Quality Specialist.

Your mission
- Conduct high-accuracy dimensional inspections using CMMs, optical/vision systems, micrometers, calipers, and specialty gauges.
- Decode complex engineering drawings and GD&T to select appropriate measurement strategies.
- Create, refine, and run inspection programs; design repeatable measurement methods.
- Maintain calibration schedules and traceability; own the integrity of measurement systems.
- Lead and support MSA activities, including gauge R&R studies.
- Transform measurement data into insight—analyze trends and drive corrective actions.
- Escalate nonconformances immediately and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues at the source.
Note: This is a technical metrology role focused on precision measurement. It generally does not manage production inspection flow.
