Senior Software Engineer

See your software through from an idea in code to a service people rely on. This role connects Java application development with data, integration, and the infrastructure that brings it all to life. You’ll collaborate with engineers and customer stakeholders to build and maintain software for critical systems, with room to get involved across development, deployment, and operations.

The engineering you’ll get into

• Build useful applications. Develop with Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• Make the pieces work together. Implement and integrate commercial and open-source products, test how they interact, and troubleshoot reliability and performance.
• Automate the repetitive parts. Use Linux command-line tools and Bash or Python scripts to streamline operational tasks.
• Connect data and services. Work with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or NoSQL platforms such as MongoDB, and messaging through RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Bring releases into the real world. Deploy with Docker and Kubernetes, create Helm charts, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Bamboo.
• Keep changes understandable. Use Ansible for consistent configurations and Git for collaboration, with Jira and Confluence supporting project tracking and shared knowledge.

Experience and education

This role requires at least 7 years of relevant experience with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, 5 years with a qualifying master’s degree, or 9 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
