A day in the life
Step onto the line and help transform components into finished Snap-on products. In this role, you’ll assemble parts on a semi‑automated line, verify proper fit, fasten subassemblies, and keep product moving safely and efficiently. You’ll complete ERP transactions, document your work, and support continuous improvement every shift.
What you’ll do
- Assemble components by confirming correct connections, fastening parts and subassemblies, and preparing items for inspection and packaging.
- Handle materials throughout the cell; label, package, and palletize finished goods.
- Use ERP software (Epicor preferred) and process paperwork to record activity, inventory movements, and production results.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by performing 5S activities: sweeping floors, cleaning equipment, and removing stray parts.
- Monitor supply levels; anticipate needs; place/expedite orders; verify receipts to keep work flowing.
- Report priorities, progress, and shift results to management; contribute to team goals and continuous improvement.
- Perform inspection steps and complete packaging of approved product.
- Support related tasks and projects as assigned.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working on an assembly team; 1 year related experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus) and basic computer/data entry skills.
- Strong reading and math ability; comfortable following written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical requirements
- Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending and stooping.
- Walk long distances repeatedly; stand/walk 8+ hours per day.
- Climb step stools/small ladders as needed.
- Perform repetitive fine-motor hand movements.
