Why this role matters

When nickel‑based superalloy blades and vanes leave our high‑integrity investment casting facility, they must be right the first time. As the site’s NDE Technical Authority, you set the bar for inspection rigor, prevent defect escapes, and drive down non‑conformance cost across safety‑critical hardware.

Your impact in bullets

  • Technical ownership of VT/VI, PT, UT, and RT methods, including CR, DR, and CT.
  • Define and govern procedures and acceptance criteria within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
  • Render authoritative dispositions on complex indications and nonconforming material.
  • Lead equipment qualifications and requalifications, emphasizing digital radiography and inspection software capability.
  • Run the personnel certification program: qualification, certification, and ongoing competency per ASNT SNT‑TC‑1A and ANSI/NAS 410 / EN 4179; design exams and manage training records.
  • Mentor NDI teams to ensure consistent method application and reliable results.
  • Align with Siemens Energy NDE leaders to harmonize standards, support NPI with robust inspection strategies, and deliver continuous improvement.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 8+ years as a Level III in manufacturing (aerospace or power generation preferred).
  • BS in Engineering/Materials Science (or equivalent experience).
  • ASNT Level III in RT, PT, VT, and UT (required).
  • Experience in investment casting and inspection of high‑value, safety‑critical parts; proven stewardship of SNT‑TC‑1A/NAS 410 compliant programs.
  • Fluency in NDT technologies (notably DR) and in quality systems, quality control, and CI.
  • Leadership presence with accountability, influence, and collaboration strengths.

Work authorization and compliance

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • Export control: This position requires eligibility to work with export‑controlled technology and may require an export license prior to start, in accordance with U.S. Department of Commerce (BIS) and/or Department of State (DDTC) regulations.
