Counter Sales Representative

Greet walk-in customers and provide clear, knowledgeable assistance.

Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with customers and coworkers in person, over the phone, and via email.

Hourly Range- $20.00- $22.00

• Create and uphold a welcoming and professional showroom environment.
• Educate customers on products and support showroom sales activities.
• Demonstrate new products and techniques to customers in the showroom.
• Process daily sales transactions accurately and complete daily deposits.
• Enter and process customer orders accurately, including verification of credit information.
• Stock and organize showroom and stockroom inventory.
• Answer incoming calls, return customer calls, and assist with past-due account follow-up.
• Contact customers with reminders for scheduled training or educational classes.
• Coordinate the setup, support, and cleanup of educational classes and events.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of customer service principles, practices, and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued identification required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience in janitorial, restoration, remediation, carpet cleaning, installation services, or big-box retail environments preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Proficient in administrative and documentation procedures.
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Requires specialized skills or is multi-skilled developed through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for associates with less experience. Requires proficiency in a range of processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks.
