What You'll Be Doing

As a CNC Studer Grinder Operator, you'll play a critical role in producing precision-machined components that require exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating CNC Studer grinding machines
• Maintaining production while holding tolerances as tight as .0003 inches
• Operating and monitoring multiple machines simultaneously
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Performing in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Verifying dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerance requirements
• Making machine adjustments to ensure consistent quality and performance
• Applying shop mathematics, GD&T knowledge, and machining principles to solve production challenges
• Supporting quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of CNC machining or CNC grinding experience
• Experience operating CNC grinding equipment
• Ability to consistently hold extremely tight tolerances
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of precision inspection and measurement techniques
• Understanding of shop mathematics and machining principles
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• Studer grinder experience

• Conventional grinding experience

• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

• Aerospace manufacturing experience

• Precision machining and high-tolerance production environments

• Experience using:- Micrometers

  • Calipers
  • Dial indicators
  • Precision gauges
  • Bore measurement equipment

• Machining certifications or technical training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
• Comfortable working around CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment
• Ability to safely follow all manufacturing and safety procedures
