Warehouse & Materials Operations Leader – 6S/Continuous Improvement

Your impact areas

  • Flow & planning: Build and deploy supply chain plans aligning production, distribution, and finished-goods inventory to improve product flow.
  • Supply assurance: Ensure on-time availability of all production supplies; lead resin sourcing, forecasting, and rail-related logistics.
  • Schedule excellence: Co-create plant schedules with Production and Asset Care to maximize schedule compliance and OTIF delivery.
  • Inventory integrity: Drive cycle counting and physical inventories that deliver high accuracy.
  • Warehouse leadership: Oversee scheduling, material handling, shipping, and receiving with safe, efficient practices.
  • Loss elimination: Analyze material usage and partner with Operations to reduce production variances.
  • Planning systems: Act as the connector among Procurement, Operations, and IBP to keep the MRP process healthy.
  • Business rhythm: Support the monthly S&OP process with credible plans and data.
  • Standards & training: Help craft policies, guidelines, procedures, and training that reinforce quality and cost control.
  • Network strategy: Perform distribution and network studies; monitor inventory and define strategies for target lead times and fill rates.
  • Accountability: Maintain thorough records and clear reports that drive decisions.
  • Customer connectivity: Coordinate logistics with internal teams and external customers to remove barriers.
  • Safety & 6S leadership: Champion all safety requirements and 6S; conduct weekly plant-wide Gemba walks to verify 6S, safety, and food safety compliance.
  • Quality & CI: Ensure compliance with quality and audit requirements and uphold the PEPS continuous improvement system.
  • People development: Engage, coach, and prepare team members for next-level roles.
