Robotic Warehouse Systems Maintenance Technologist

About the Role

At Symbotic’s expanding Manchester, PA facility, you’ll help keep one of the industry’s most advanced robotic warehouse platforms running smoothly. This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed for builders and problem-solvers who want to grow a real career in automation. We promote from within and provide a clear path forward.

A Day in the Life

You begin your shift with a walk-through of the system floor, checking status dashboards and reviewing open work orders in the CMMS. A robotic shuttle requires an adjustment; you reference wiring diagrams, make the repair under supervisor guidance, and document your work. Next, you assist a Cell Operator during a brief anomaly, then climb to the mezzanine level to perform inspections on vertical lift modules. Throughout the shift, you follow OSHA and Symbotic safety protocols—including LOTO and fall protection—while keeping the fleet operating at peak performance.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Maintain and support a fleet of automated robotic vehicles, vertical lifts, and automated adapters
  • Perform inspections, adjustments, and basic repairs on electromechanical subsystems
  • Troubleshoot anomalies using wiring diagrams and test equipment under supervisor guidance
  • Record all work in the CMMS with accurate notes and parts usage
  • Assist Cell Operators as needed to sustain throughput
  • Adhere to OSHA and Symbotic safety standards, including LOTO and fall protection

What You Bring

  • 1+ year of hands-on mechanical, electrical, or automation experience—or equivalent technical training/certification
  • Ability to read basic electrical/mechanical schematics and follow written procedures
  • Strong work ethic with consistent, reliable attendance
  • Curiosity to learn PLCs, robotics, and advanced troubleshooting methods
  • Self-directed mindset and comfort working with limited supervision
