Forklift Operator, Shipping & Receiving

PrideStaff is hiring a Forklift Operator in Prineville. You'll load, unload and move lumber and finished building components on and off tractor-trailers and around an active outdoor yard. This is a steady, full-time day-shift role for a safety-minded operator who takes pride in precise, careful work.

What you'll do

• Safely operate heavy commercial forklifts to load, unload, stack and move lumber units, finished building components and raw materials.
• Work with truck drivers and the transport team on inbound and outbound loads, staging and offloading.
• Do pre-shift equipment safety checks, keep equipment logs and follow OSHA and plant safety rules.
• Check inbound and outbound product against grade and quality standards.
• Record product movement, staging locations and unit counts with a handheld inventory scanner.
• Work closely with yard and production crews and help cross-train teammates.

What you bring

• Proven commercial forklift experience in a manufacturing, lumber, industrial or distribution setting.
• An active forklift operator certification, or the ability to recertify when hired.
• Comfort using handheld scanners and basic computer skills.
• Clear spoken and written English.
• Dependable attendance, strong spatial awareness and a safety-first attitude.

Physical demands and work environment

• About 90% of the work is outdoors in an active yard, in all weather, with dust and noise.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
• Frequently climb on and off forklift equipment throughout the shift.
