Industrial Maintenance Electrician — PLC & 3‑Phase Systems

About the Role

SpringSeal, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to keep our facilities and equipment running at peak performance. In this hands-on position, you’ll diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, work confidently with 3‑phase power and 480 VAC, and keep production moving through disciplined preventive maintenance and responsive service.

A Day in the Life

You begin by reviewing CMMS work orders and your preventive maintenance plan. A quick walk-through of the plant reveals an opportunity to improve an equipment guard and a misaligned conveyor sensor. Mid-morning, you troubleshoot a PLC-driven line fault, trace it to an I/O issue, and restore operation. After lunch, you weld a small bracket to secure a cable tray, update documentation, coordinate a contractor’s visit for a specialized repair, and close out the day ensuring every task is logged and stakeholders are updated.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using knowledge of programmable logic controllers and related controls.
  • Fabricate and weld parts and components when required.
  • Track work orders, document all repairs, and maintain precise records.
  • Perform regular inspections to spot risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests from internal customers and staff.
  • Oversee and coordinate external contractors as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing concerns and resolving problems promptly.
  • Work safely with high-voltage equipment, including 480 VAC systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician (or similar industrial role).
  • Strong industrial electrical background, including 3‑phase power.
  • Solid mechanical and plumbing know-how.
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software (preferred).
  • Excellent logical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written.
  • Personal tool set required.
