Injection Molding Press Technician

Step into the role

Picture your day: you arrive, review the production schedule, and prepare an injection molding press for the next run. You dial in settings, monitor cycles, and turn out consistent plastic parts. Fresh off the press, you trim and deburr each piece, paint the raw product to the customer’s preferred finish, and verify that every item meets our quality specifications. Once approved, you package and prepare products for shipment so customers receive exactly what they ordered—on time, every time.

What you'll do

  • Operate and monitor an injection molding press safely and efficiently.
  • Trim and deburr excess material to achieve clean, accurate edges and surfaces.
  • Paint raw product to customer liking, following finish/color specifications.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet documented specifications.
  • Package completed items and stage them for shipment.

How you'll succeed

  • Bring previous machine operator experience and a strong attention to detail.
  • Use air tools and hand tools confidently and correctly.
  • Apply basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) during measurements and counts.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate with teammates.
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Work environment & physical needs

  • Stand for extended periods during production shifts.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Flexible hours with overtime as production demands.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office for simple data entry or documentation.
  • HS diploma/GED preferred.
  • Plastics industry experience preferred.
