Oracle EPM Functional Consultant / Financial Technology Manager (Contract)

Position Summary

The Financial Technology Manager will serve as Finance's functional owner and strategic enablement lead for the client's Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform. This role drives the design, governance, administration, and continuous optimization of the Oracle Fusion EPM platform, serving as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external partners to ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and efficient execution of planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.

This is a high-impact role within the client's finance transformation agenda, helping shape the future-state finance operating model by advancing driver-based planning, scenario modeling, integrated reporting, automation, and governance across Oracle EPM and related finance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Oracle Fusion EPM modules (Planning, FCCS, EDMCS, Account Reconciliation, Narrative Reporting)
  • Serve as Finance product owner for Oracle EPM, translating business needs into scalable, system-enabled processes
  • Manage user access, security frameworks, and role-based permissions; perform system configurations, metadata management, and environment migrations (Dev/Test/Prod)
  • Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and coordinate with Oracle support; lead business testing for quarterly releases and patches
  • Own functional enablement of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, scenario modeling, and management reporting within Oracle EPM
  • Ensure accurate consolidation processes and financial close support (FCCS)
  • Own functional integrity of finance data flows across Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, legacy planning platforms, and downstream reporting tools (mappings, validations, reconciliations, automation)
  • Establish system governance standards, change control, and audit-ready documentation; support internal and external audits
  • Partner with Finance leadership to define the EPM roadmap; lead or support upgrades, patches, and new module implementations
  • Develop end-user training, process documentation, and administrator runbooks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial systems (Oracle - PeopleSoft Enterprise - Functional - Enterprise Performance Management)
  • Hands-on Oracle Cloud EPM experience, preferably Planning, FCCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting, data integrations, business rules, security roles, metadata management, and environment migrations
  • Experience with data integration tools (FDMEE/Data Management, APIs)
  • Strong understanding of annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, driver-based planning, workforce planning, and management reporting
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP (GL, Financials) preferred; advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency
  • Prior Oracle EPM implementation or optimization experience preferred; exposure to enterprise data governance and master data management a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
