Commercial Project Manager

Overview:

The Commercial Door Project Manager will run projects from award to

delivery/finish. This includes such things as shop drawing review and correction,

ordering materials, scheduling delivery of materials and troubleshoot issues that

arise. This individual will also prepare estimates of commercial doors, frames

and hardware.

Job Duties:

• Review hardware schedules for accuracy and make corrections.
• Follow specifications and plans to be sure the items scheduled are in strict
• accordance with the requirements outlined.
• Ascertain that the items specified are suitable to the job details.
• Order materials to meet customer’s delivery requirements cost effectively.
• Manage shop workload.
• Produce weekly and monthly billing to customers as required.
• Communicate with others to assist with the delivery of associated products.
• Resolve discrepancies and inaccuracies with architects, contractors and
• salesmen as necessary.
• Prepare quotes of hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors and frames and
• door hardware.
• Works with locksmith, technician and other departments to ensure proper keying,
• adaption and installation of products.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Must be able to write clearly and correctly.

Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.)

Able to work independently with some direction.

Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures

Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.

Able to multi-task.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be willing to learn software programs

used by vbh for estimating and scheduling.

Education: High school diploma/GED required (Assoicates Degree Preferred)
