Imagine starting in early February with a close-knit, family-owned manufacturer in the West Chicagoland Area—known for rebuilding and customizing packaging machinery—where your work supports a fleet of rental packaging machines that ship out ready to run.
Your mission
- Build and wire control cabinets for packaging machinery with accuracy and pride
- Mount terminal blocks, relays, power supplies, and drives in clean, logical layouts
- Use schematics and marked-up prints to cut, strip, label, and route conductors
- Perform basic continuity tests and help with panel checkout
- Rework or upgrade existing panels as needs evolve
- Keep the bench and shop spotless and safe
What you need to bring
- At least 1 year of panel wiring, electrical assembly, or industrial electrical experience
- Confidence reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Hands-on wiring ability with basic troubleshooting skills
- High School Diploma or GED
Great to have
- Familiarity with components, wiring best practices, and circuit fundamentals
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, or comparable electrical/safety standards
- Experience with packaging machinery or OEM equipment builds
- Background in panel retrofits or upgrades
