Why this role matters
When production depends on reliable machinery, you’re the expert who keeps everything moving. Stationed 100% onsite at our Ogden, UT location and reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, you turn drawings and instructions into safe, efficient equipment performance.
What you’ll tackle
- Receive and act on oral and written instructions; interpret blueprints and technical drawings to install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose failures, replace or repair faulty components, and return assets to service quickly and safely.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance, conduct visual inspections, and document findings; maintain preventive maintenance records.
- Service and rebuild pumps, valves, blowers, compressors, vessels, conveyors, and related process equipment; fabricate parts and assemblies as required.
Tools and machines you’ll master
- Hand tools (manual and power) and material handling equipment.
- Gas and electric arc welding equipment.
- Lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other machinist tools for making and repairing parts.
Systems and materials you’ll work with
- Process systems that involve acids, alkaline fiberglass, plastics, and metal piping, fittings, and materials.
- Metal melting and fabrication equipment.
- Lubricants including oils and greases; oversight of the lubrication program.
Collaboration, leadership, and safety
- Coordinate area activities with the central maintenance shop; assist other maintenance technicians or engineers.
- Train fellow craftsmen as assigned and, at times, provide direction to lower-classified craftsmen.
- Adhere to all safety rules, maintain a clean work environment, and return tools, unused materials, and written references to designated locations.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) years of mechanical craft experience with at least three (3) years in mechanical industrial maintenance.
- Trade or technical school education in industrial mechanical maintenance may satisfy part of the experience requirement.

Position is based in Ogden, UT, 100% onsite, reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
