Heavy Lift Overhead Crane Technician

Your mission

Execute safe, efficient heavy material movement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while documenting equipment readiness, communicating proactively, and supporting continuous operations.

Core responsibilities

  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport and position heavy materials
  • Complete and file shift equipment inspection reports every day
  • Spot potential production issues early and communicate needs to the team
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in your immediate area
  • Apply practical troubleshooting techniques and collaborate to resolve routine issues
  • Follow all startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures
  • Embrace and promote CMC Safety Programs and Safety Culture

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated overhead crane operating experience; forklift capable
  • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to quality work
  • Willing to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends/holidays; overtime required at times
  • Team-first attitude with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills

Physical and environmental demands

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work in environments with heat/cold extremes, chemicals, dust, fumes and mists
  • Navigating uneven surfaces, elevated work areas, high noise, and confined spaces

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Proficiencies and equipment

  • Proficiencies: Industrial Construction; Equipment Troubleshooting; Heavy Material Handling; Manufacturing environment experience
  • Equipment: Overhead Crane; Forklifts
