The Role at a Glance
Step into a leadership position that orchestrates site-level planning and connects daily execution to business objectives. As the Production Planning lead for the site, you will steer SIOP and MPS processes, sequence production, optimize inventory, and guide a high-performing team through cross-functional collaboration.
A Day in the Life
- Morning: Review demand, capacity, and material availability to adjust the master production schedule and align with SIOP updates.
- Midday: Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Quality to balance constraints, finalize daily/weekly production plans, and confirm material readiness.
- Afternoon: Track schedule adherence and key performance indicators, launch corrective actions, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- End of day: Coach planners, document process improvements, and prepare reports that connect planning outcomes to business goals—always with safety and compliance in view.
What You Will Lead
- Site production planning team leadership and development
- Management of SIOP reviews and MPS cadence
- Daily and weekly production plans informed by inventory and material status
- Performance monitoring and corrective action implementation
- Stakeholder communications and planning reports
- Continuous process improvement
- Safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within planning processes
- Cross-functional collaboration to achieve business targets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3–6 years of experience in production planning or supply chain
- Hands-on experience with SIOP, MPS, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated planning and performance management capability
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
- Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean practices and change management
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting
