GMP Production Line Technician

Location: Orangeburg, NY

Type: Contract | Work Model: Onsite | Compensation: $21–$23/hour (plus shift differential)

Hours: Monday–Friday. First shift: 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm. Second shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm or 3:00pm–11:30pm.

A day in the role

You start your shift by reviewing production logs and confirming that the line is inspection-ready under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You verify safety and environmental equipment, walk the production platform to confirm continuous operation, and prioritize any repairs that keep throughput on target. As batches run, you document every step with precision, keep forms and logs current, and spot opportunities to fine-tune processes. Throughout the day you apply basic troubleshooting on machinery and systems, coordinate planned work using asset care scheduling techniques, and ensure quality standards are consistently met. You finish by updating reports, cleaning and organizing your area, and handing off a detailed status update to the next shift.

What you’ll do

  • Keep production areas clean, organized, and fully compliant with GMP.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on facilities, wells, production equipment, and safety equipment.
  • Support uninterrupted operation of production platforms and maintain production pace.
  • Test safety and environmental equipment and record all findings accurately.
  • Troubleshoot basic machinery and system issues; utilize a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Apply planning and scheduling methods tied to asset care management.
  • Meet production standards and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Create precise forms, reports, logs, and batch records.
  • Complete all work safely and in alignment with company safety policies.
  • Ensure quality specifications are achieved for every batch.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment, including production line work.
  • Background working in GMP/SOP-controlled operations.
  • Ability to perform repairs and extensive maintenance tasks.
  • Foundational machinery knowledge with troubleshooting capability.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental testing procedures.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
