Build exceptional labels. Elevate a night‑shift team. Shape what’s next.
At EMP—part of Inovar Packaging Group, LLC—we’re scaling advanced flexographic and digital label production. We succeed by empowering leaders who combine hands‑on press mastery with a coach’s mindset. If you’re that leader, this is your moment.
Your impact (first 90 days and beyond)
- Stabilize night‑shift output by standardizing setups, changeovers, and first‑article approvals.
- Reduce waste through sharper control of ink viscosity, curing/drying, and press speeds.
- Uplift operator capability via on‑press coaching and clear quality expectations.
- Strengthen schedule adherence by partnering with production, quality, and maintenance.
- Enhance safety and housekeeping so every run meets policy and plant standards.
What you’ll own
- On‑press leadership: set up and run servo‑driven narrow‑web flexographic or hybrid/digital presses with integrated die‑cutting.
- Technical escalation: solve registration, ink, and print anomalies quickly and decisively.
- Pre‑flight: confirm job tickets, substrates, inks, plates, and tooling before release.
- Maintenance: complete routine cleaning and minor repairs; elevate larger issues promptly.
- Communication: deliver crisp shift reports, issues, and handoffs to incoming teams and leadership.
Tools and processes you’ll command
- Servo‑driven narrow‑web platforms: Mark Andy, Nilpeter, MPS, Omet (or comparable).
- UV and/or water‑based inks; pressure‑sensitive labels and film substrates.
- Plate mounting, impression setting, web path alignment, registration verification.
- Ink distribution control, viscosity management, and curing/drying optimization.
What sets you apart
- Seasoned flexo operator with leadership experience (formal or informal) on narrow‑web, servo‑driven equipment.
- Decisive troubleshooter with strong judgment in a live production environment.
- Detail‑driven, organized, and comfortable with basic computer systems for production tracking and documentation.
- Team‑first communicator who models accountability and craftsmanship.
